National Mooting Competition forms

From this page you can download or view PDF files of forms taken from The National Mooting Competition Handbook for 1998-99, published by The ESU Centre for International Debate and Communication Training ( The Competition is sponsored by The Observer and Lovell White Durrant.

The forms are provided as PDF files which can be viewed online (in some browsers) and printed using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software. Copies of this are available free from Adobe's web site, and further instructions on downloading/printing PDF files are available here.

The following forms are available:

  • Notes for mooters - helpful tips for the novice mooter (2 pages)
  • Guidance for judges - notes to inform judges about the criteria they should use for reaching their decision (1 pages)
  • Score sheet - a score sheet which may assist judges in their decision making and in giving feedback (1 page)
  • Mooting format and authorities - the national competition rules on the format of the moot, and the regulations about the use of authorities (2 pages)
